Travis Johnson
Destination Big Bear
Travis has been part of the Destination Big Bear family for three years, helping to lead daily operations and ensure every guest and homeowner experience runs smoothly. Before joining the team, he worked as a Regional General Manager overseeing the Southern California region for a hotel group with multiple IHG-branded properties.
Evan Engle
Destination Big Bear
Evan is one of the founding members of Destination Big Bear, helping launch the company in 2009. Originally from Cedarville, Michigan, he has been a driving force behind the company’s growth and reputation for quality service in the Big Bear community. With years of hands on experience and leadership, Evan continues to guide the team with a focus on reliability, integrity, and exceptional guest care. A father of three, he enjoys life in the mountains and the sense of community that comes with it.
Tom Swoboda
DRM
Tom has lived at Comstock for 7 years and worked there as a maintenance technician for 3 years. Working for Desert Resort Management, exclusively at the Comstock, Tom has particular knowledge of the complex and its procedures. He has performed work on many aspects of maintaining the complex including: spa, snow clearing, guest issues, landscaping, pest control, trash removal and repairs.
Solomiya Pyatkovska
DRM
Solomiya Pyatkovska is passionate about Big Bear Lake and all it has to offer. She first moved to the mountains in August of 2017 as a part time resident. Over the last 8 years, Solomiya has experienced Big Bear Lake as a short term vacation rental owner, second home owner, part time resident, and now as a full time resident. She can relate to the unique needs and experiences of various members of the Big Bear Lake community.
Solomiya joined Desert Resort Management in December of 2024. She comes from a real estate sales and leasing background, where she has over 8 years of experience. She manages several communities in Big Bear Lake as well as Lake Arrowhead. When not working, Solomiya enjoys spending time with her daughter exploring all the exciting outdoor adventures living in the mountains has to offer.
